Tap.Amber colour with small head.Aroma is very sweet,with taste of dried fruit and leather,bit to sweet to be candy like finish.

Bottle at Peasenhall New Inn. Hazy deep amber - brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate with decent fine carbonation. Sweet malt burst, trace of cream but as soon followed by ripe fruits and a bitterish savoury toffee. Tangy ripe fruit finish brings more rich ripe fruit. I found this only moderately sweet, but quite fully flavoured and richly fruity.

Medium beige head doesn't last. Hazy deep dark brown body. Deep molasses and acid vinous aroma with wet wood and linoleum notes. Sweet, and faintly acidic, molasses and treacle taste with funky fruity wooden notes. Full-bodied. Sharpish, hot mouthfeel with very low carbonation. Dry-sweet wooden spicy treacle aftertaste with cinnamon and spice notes. It's not bad, but too sweet and over the top. Should have used a yeast that could attenuate this further. (0.375l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

Sampled @ The Tenth Official Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2017, Day 2. A clear orange brown beer with a mid-sized to small most good lasting beige head. Aroma of overriped fruits, plums, wood. Taste of intense sweet fruits, overriped fruits, some banana, boozy.

Sampled @ 10th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg, Day 2. Nice deep dark red color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, sweet malts, sticky sweet maltiness, some hops, but all in over the top barley wine style: overly sweet sugary malty with some hops and sugar. Decent.

7 3 8 3 15 Bottle shared at Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering ’17. Clear brown with a ring off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee, raisins and overripe dark fruit. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with a sticky palate and soft carbonation.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a warm reddish amber with a slight haze and a beige head. Aroma of sweet toffee and nots, also an oxidized touch. Rich, malty body, VERY sweet - almost syrupy - caramel and maple syrup. Hardly any bitterness at all but a warming alcohol finish, without being really boozy. Could be used as a desert wine to be honest. I find the sweetness a little overpowering and cloying in the end. A little less sweetness and it would be an almost perfect British-style Barley Wine. 100817

Bottle 375ml. [ As Ebeltoft Mesa Like It Sweet ].Unclear medium brown - orange amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, caramel, caramelized malt, brown sugar, light sweet dried fruit - honey - syrupy. Flavor is heavy sweet with a long duration, sugary, brown sugar, alcohol, light sweet dried fruit - honey - syrupy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20161230] 6-3-7-3-12
