Cask at The London & North Western under the 'Ramsgate' name. Dark brown/near black with smooth beige top, good lacing. A roasted malt and cocoa aroma. Taste of roast and chocolate, hint of dark fruit, with an ashy, cola and coffee finish. Nice flavours although I felt it was somewhat thin in the finish.

Cask by stillage at One Inn The Wood, Petts Wood on 21st October 2024. Sepia brown with shallow, pale tan foam and pattern lacing. Roasty malt aroma. Peppery, coffee-y roastiness in-mouth, and an emerging bitterness shapes the finish. Medium bodied with an engaging mouthfeel.

Cask-conditioned at the WG Grace (JDW), Bristol 27/8/2024. Dark brown in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Some toasty malts with an earthy edge, touch of chocolate and liquorice, leading to a lightly roasted finish. Good.

Cask at Moon under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a small scummy tan head and good lacing. There’s roast malts and dark fruits in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture. Roasted malts to the fore in the flavour, plus hints of vanilla, plums and hops. Later it become somewhat watery with cola evident, leading to a slightly bitter finish. This is decent enough. But a bit bland and lacking in body.

Pours a clear dark mahogany colour with a small frothy beige head that settled. The aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, and a hint of liquorice. A moderately sweet roasted taste, sweet roasted malt, milk chocolate flavours with a hint of ash and a light drying and roasted finish. Nice.
