2005 Vinatge. Cloudy chocolate brown beer. Dry and crisp. Anything like beer tastes are totally dominated by cinnamon and ginger. Just a little smooth chocolatey malt hiding away in the background. Just about drinkable but makes the all too common Xmas beer mistake of being heavily overspiced.

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Pitfield’s Winter Warmer 2002 Vintage". Courtesy og chris_o. Pours a hazy, amber golden with a small, rough head. Very fruity aroma - strawberries?? Medium body with a soft and very flat feel to it. Very distinct strawberry accents - must be the mix of spices that somehow end op producing this flavour. 090507 (Bottle 33 cl) As "Pitfield’s Organic Christmas Ale 2005". Hazy, amber golden with an off-white head. Distinct aromas of ginger and cinnamon. Medium body with a light acidity and very distinct, spicy notes. This really is a Christmas beer! 7/3/7/3/13=3.3 200507

Vintage 2005
Hazy dark amber color; thin head. Spicy aroma of cardamom, some raisins, light alcohol perception. Quite thin, light malt, a touch of vegetables, dry liquorice, spices, caramel… The final is just a dry mix of light liquorice and burnt sugar. Wrong.

An unclear amber beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet spicy with cinnamon being most dominant - and so is the flavor.

Hazy orange/amber coloured body with a small tan head. Aroma of PURE pumpkin with a good spice to it. Full-bodied; Strong pumpkin pie spice in the taste with a large sweetness. Aftertaste clean and spicey. Overall, damn good to try and very spicey-one for the pumpkin pie lover out there! I sampled this 12 ounce bottle at the November RB party at Founder’s in Alexandria, Virginia on 20-November-2004.

Bottled. Cloudy dark amber/brown, small head. The same odd candle wax aroma as in their 2004 Christmas ale. Sweet and bold with clean malt profile and notes of honey. Short finish. Feels like drinking a liquid candle...
Earlier Rating: 12/8/2004 Total Score: 2.9
Bottled. Cloudy dark amber. Stearin aroma. Sweet and bold. Odd spices mixes with bees wax and had malt. Rounded, somewhat ashy finish. Very similar to their 2002 Winter Warmer.
