Bottled. Reddish copper colour, small beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is fruits, alcohol, biscuits and some grassyness. Flavour is fruits, alcohol and some rather sweet malty notes. Not too balanced. Still not THAT bad.

Bottled (BB 07/2009). Ruby red color, small white head. Strong sweet glue-berryish nose with herbs and licorice. Quite sweet flavor (molasses) with grainy and light woody-grassy hops. Aftertaste is quite alcohollc. But this is not an ESL, but a bock

Bottle. It actually started to come out of its bottle all by itself. Quite rear for a lager. Anyway, in the glass, it has a clear, amber body under a big, dense off-white head leaving some fine lacings. Caramel dominates the aroma, but there’s also some dried fruits, grains and a quite evident alcohol touch. Full-bodied, warming and quite effervescent in the mouth, with flavors of toffee, dried fruits, some bitterness and alcohol. A tiny touch of cooked vegetables too, especially in the finish. There’s also sugar and alcohol in the finish. For an 8 % ABV lager beer, it’s certainly decent, but there’s too much sweetness and alcohol I think. Then again, there’s a balance between sweetness and alcohol in this one. (081113)

Bottle, 8.0%. Sweet and malty aroma. Clear chestnut colour, creamy tan head. The flavour is slightly malty and peppery with hints of anis and a tad of sourness. Hint of vegetable in the aftertaste. Not bad. Not an ESL IMO.
