Light & Golden. Mild winters and plenty of sunshine on the Lizard Peninsula encourage an abundance of wild flowers. Fields of early Daffodils paint the landscape gold.... Kernow Gold is a light, refreshing golden ale finished with Styrian Goldings hops for a characteristically fruity flavour and floral aroma.

Bottle from Purely Cornish. Appearance - golden with decent lacing. Nose - grapefruit, lemon and bread. Taste - more bread with citrus pith this time. Palate - light bodied, fresh finish. Overall - decent example of a golden ale.

Bottle from Asda, Newquay on 19th May 2018. Cloudy amber with thin off-white foam decaying to little more than anon-lacing ring. Citric aroma with deeply pungent yeasts. Smoky, citric hoppiness in-mouth with deeply earthy pungency. A citrus, smoked finish. Full f with a zingy mouthfeel. Unusual and enjoyable.

Bottle drank on hols in St Ives. Hazy gold beer with a tidy white head. Smooth airy palate, semi dry and with fine carbonation. Smooth light malt, fairly dry and airy. Pinch of chalk. Nice lemon - orange - grapefruit citrus before a light finish.

Bottle bought on holiday in Cornwall. Citrus orange wheat aroma. Cloudy pale orange colour. Too gassy. Afraid I wasn’t keen on this one.

Bottle 50cl. @ [ Chris O’s pre NYE Tasting ].Unclear medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is sour citrus. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and vinegar - sour milk with a average duration. Infected IMO. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20081230]
