Bottled, thx to joes. Vleteren Extra Blonde according to the bottle. Hazy orange color, short head. Aroma of caramel malt, orange peel, slight alcohol, sugar cane. Smooth taste with a slight spicy bite, some alcohol burn noticeable, but in a pleasant way. Decent strong belgian triple.

Huge, very dense & fine yellowish head over fully hazy orange beer. Sharp, spicy-malty nose, slighlty sourish-greenery, bit of caramel. Sharp roasted malts’ taste, but with a good, if uneasy, balance between sweet-sour and a suggestion of bitterness. Alcohol obvious in taste and MF, liqueurish; grainy esters if that makes sense. Sharp MF, burning, well bodied and slick. Better than expected, there seems to be indeed a difference with the Antiek blond.

Bottled. Hazy golden/orange color, big creamy white head. Aroma is barnyard, some grains, hay and mild fruits. Flavour has sweet fruityness mixed with earth and some hayishness. The finish gets quite flowery and bitter with earthyness underlying. Mild notes of alcohol are also to be found.

Bottled at Ter Posterie, Ypres, Belgium 23-06-07 along with a bottle of De Dolle Dulle Teve, this had a lot to live up to as the Dulle Teve was superb. This beer poured much darker than I expected and was really teetering on the edge of being amber in colour rather than the orange golden I anticipated. Subtle in taste and really needing a few sips before its true colours started to show, nice creaminess started to come through along with malts. Not bad at all.

Bottled, 0,75 ltr (BB 04/2007). Hazy orange color, good white creamy head. Hayish, metallic aroma with notes of barnyard, cardboard and fruits. Medium-bodied. Some sweet fruityness is mixed with iron, earth, citrus and hay. Bitterness in the finish. BB 2007 (or 2006? not sure) may indicate this being vintage from 3-4 years ago? Corked bottle may have produced some earthy notes. Not the most balanced tripel.

(Bottle 25 cl) Strongly hazed beer, greyish brown - river water appearance - actually this looks pretty disgusting (as most Decas). Fruity nose, full very malty body with a strong hop-bite in the finish. Not a bad beer but certainly not the most refined either. 200299
