33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a diminished off-white head. Aroma is slight metallica, breadish, mouldy, medium sweet and with a minor spice note. Flavour is medium sweet with a mild caramel malt note blending in with a solid bitterness leading into the finish with a mild metallic note and a mild spice edge. Nice. I have this strange feeling that this brew is quite similar to ale 16.

Dark golden/amber with a off white head. Sweet malty aroma some caramel light spice. Medium bodied - close to thin. Overall plain & simple. Drinkable - but pretty boring!

Bottle. Clear chestnut colour, small head. The flavour has some aroma hops, good spicy ones. Unfortunately a bit thin.

Bottle. Small head with virtually no duration. Color is amber. Aroma is lots of caramel. Taste is even more caramel. Quite sugary and sweet.

(Bottle 33 cl) Shit, did I regret buying a whole case of this. Getting rid of it was quite a task and each and every one I offered it to got this baffled expression on their faces.
Beautiful, clear amber colour, pretty fine head in spite of the low carbonation. The smell is terrible though, manure-like. Flawourwise, first you get some caramel notes, then bitterness and finally an odd, acidity. Very rustic and inharmonious - typical Refsvindinge. Was it meant to be this way? Well, brewer John probably doesn’t care - he bottles everything. 261104

Amber color. Aroma of caramel, buckwheat, candi sugar, dark chocolate. Quite warming malt, caramel, chocolate taste, but with a light metallic touch, light oxydation. Would be better if a bit sweeter.

The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, bread, and an unrecognizable spice. The color is amber and it has a fine dense head. The flavor is malty sweet with caramel notes and bread notes and is rather dry - but it also has the same weird note that is in the aroma, is it the yeast? The body is thin for a 5.7% ABV. I must admit, that I am disappointed in this beer - Refsvindinge usually makes good beers, but this is a mistake.

Amber with no head. Malty aroma with a funny hint of metal. Flavour is watery and a bit on the sweet side. Not much aftertaste.
