An intensely citrusy, beautifully bitter beer worthy of the simple-yet-lordly title of Stone Delicious IPA. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops combine to bring on a magnificent lemon candy-like flavor that's balanced by hop spice. Delicious is crafted to reduce gluten.

Editor’s Note: Originally tap only and listed at 8.3% abv and 116 IBUs.

While our beers are many and diverse, yet unified by overarching boldness, India pale ales are our undeniable bread and butter. We’ve brewed many over the past 18 years, from double-down bitter bombs to piney session sippers. Whether it’s big IBUs or a precise ABV, there’s usually a target we’re shooting for. The same is true of this, our latest IPA, but we gave zero thought to any acronyms. This one was all about packing as much unique and, you guessed it, delicious flavor into a glass as humanly possible, regardless of oomph or octane. This intensely citrusy, beautifully bitter beer is worthy of the simple-yet-lordly title of Stone Delicious IPA. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops combine to bring on a magnificent lemon candy-like flavor that’s balanced by hop spice. It’s unlike anything we’ve tasted in nearly two decades of IPA experimentation, and another lupulin-laced creation we’re excited to introduce to hopheads everywhere.

Bottle description: Great beer is for everyone and anyone with the good taste to recognize it, not just a niche group like us über beer geeks. So, when we developed this pleasantly bitter, deliciously citrusy, hop-driven IPA, we took it as an opportunity to go a step further and do something we’d spent over a year researching and perfecting: creating a beer that makes it possible for nearly everyone to experience our aggressive, no-holds-barred approach to craft brewing. It’s a flavorful, cutting-edge, modern-day IPA for everyone. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops provide plenty of fruity citrus character and a burst of hop zing that sings on the palate. We’re proud to present it to those who already know us for our IPA prowess and to those who, so far, have only heard the legends.

Schöne Perlenstränge im goldenen Glas. In der Nase herrlich frisch-fruchtig, reifes Obst, Piniennadeln. Im Trunk sehr cremig, fruchtig, mittig alkoholisch, ohne zu brutal zu werden. Schön ausgewogen, sehr gutes IPA, zurecht „delicious“.

On tap at Fakin Zagreb. Slightly unclear golden coloured, medium sized white head, pleasant citrusy fruity nose. Moderate malty, fruity citrusy hoppy and light spicy with moderate strong bitterness in the finish. Alcohol noticable but balanced.

Tap at Fakin. Misty golden-amber, big off white head. Lovely lemon-lime citric hoppy touches on a mildly candyish maltiness. Similar taste, smooth, citric hops on a medium-full malty body, lightly sweetish, but not too much, no bitterness pretty much. Very much a nice IPA, if atypical.

Bottle consumed at Buffalo Wild Wings Casper.

Pours a slightly hazy pale gold, small head of foam, good lacing.

Smells of grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemon.

Taste is the same, hoppines is kinda dank and resinous. Cracker malt is there but overwhelmed by the hoppy goodness.

Nice mouthfeel, nice IPA.

I like it. It's a really well built recipe, with a nice citrusy and lemony hop aroma and flavor, but not overly abrasive with it. Hop flavors blend into lightly bready malts, body is medium, or just on the light side of medium. Very drinkable. Appetizing bitterness at finish.

5th Jan 2018, at my daughters in California, 12 oz bottle into a La Chouffe stemmed tulip glass. Clear orange/amber body, full white blanket of foam on top. No surprises in the nose or taste, Lemon Drop and El Dorado hops mean Lemon Drop and El Dorado hops. It is citrus notes all the way here. Not really delicious to my palate, but it's a very drinkable IPA if you are a 'citrus hop fiend' which I am not. Scored objectively.
