Draught Sure wasn’t retired last week Medium, but quite dense snow-white head over greenish tinted yellow beer. Herbal nose, bit like dry liquorice and dry green tea; liquorice/honey sweet aroma lurking behind. Sweet, very malty taste, herbal +/- gone, light acidity. Taste is much more Pilsner-like. Citric/lemonbalm retronasal. Spritzy, despite visual low carbonation. Light, some restsugars. I still don’t know what "Malurt" might be...

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge and creamy white head. Light citric and butterish pilsner malt aroma with a light herbal note. Mild citric to orange fruity flavour with a classic pilsner backbone. Bitter and medum dry finish. Decent thirstquencer.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy golden, small creamy head. Sweetish and somewhat fruity with soft mouthfeel as well as notes of spun sugar. The wormwood added does not add to aroma, but creates a lingering herbal bitterness.

Draught at the brewpub, Beer of the Month for August 2005. Pale straw coloured. Aroma and flavour reminds me of the dark meat of Norwegian crabs. Very strange, a bit sickly. Not good.

Hazy orange, creamy steady white head. Lemony, malty (mash) aroma. Crisp, softly hopped.Similar to their pilsner but has a bit more bitterness and alcohol in the taste.

(On tap) Slightly hazy, orangey golden beer with a fine, small, creamy head. Weak scent of hops - or is it wormwood? Quite malty with a medium body and a not so small residual sweetness. Distinct, acrid finish - definitely wormwood! The wormwood is used as a bittering ingredient while Sterlings are used for aroma. 080805

A hazy light yellow almost grennish beer with a light yellow head. The aroma is sweet spicy with notes of dandelion and yeast - I can’t tell the wormwood. The flavor is of dandelion and bog myrtle, but again no sign of the wormwood. A very easily drinkable beer in the late summer sun.
