Can from Co-op
Light brown, clear, white frothy head.
Aroma of light caramel malt
Taste of sweet light caramel malt, hint of cereal.
Palate - soft to medium carb, not too sweet, very thin. Finish of light malts.
Overall - This is a very simple low abv light sweet malty beer. I was expecting some offputting flavours and aromas, but there were none. It’s not that bad, actually - if you want a light simple beer.

Draught at George Hotel, Inverary. Pours amber with a red hue and some head. The nose has a very gentle hint of toffee and cream. The taste gentle notes again - toffee and hay this time. The palate is light bodied and textured and there is a clean-ish finish. Overall, light and sessionable.

Poured from a 500ml yellow can that I bought at a local store in Edinburgh. Airy, beige head that fades away after a short while. Ruby brown – deep and clear. Wort-like malts to the nose. Notes of diluted wheaty malts in flavour. Just about drinkable (hotel room, 02.12.2010).

440ml can of Tennents Velvet with a nitro-widget Poured copper with a half-inch of creamy cream head; strong malty aroma; rather thin with a weak malty flavour; some light hops to finish. Drinkable, but there’s not a lot more to say about it.
Rerate:500ml can of Tennents Special Attractive copper colour with a thin film of white head; simple malty aroma and flavour. More drinkable than the Velvet as it’s less gassy.

From tap at the Halfway House as Velvet. Pours clear and golden orange to hazzlenut brown with a small and slight off-white head. Mild roasted malty aroma. Flavour holds a mild butterish note to a light spiced hoppy tone. Dry and malty into the finish. Smooth and roasted malty impression overall.
