Hardcore Premium Hard Cider, by the company that brings you Boston beers. Pop the lid to get slight beery yeasty aroma with hints of apple sweetness. Unlike any other ciders I’ve had, this actually looks like a darker yellow pale American beer. In the glass it still has that beer like aroma. There are stream of carbonation arising. No head but a rim of white edge on top the liquid. Very little sweetness in the first tastes, is much dryer and less sweeter than any other quality cider I’ve had. This almost comes on like a very mild tripel, or barley wine that lacks alky punch. Carbonation is creamy medium which makes it likable. This may taste more like beer than cider, a very well behaved beer. Finish is not bitter but I’d swear that there are some hops in there like a mild lager. The very laid back dry sweetness of this could make it do able as a session beer. I will not mind having this a few more times.

Bottle; Nose is light of apples; gold color with a ring of bubbles around the glass; flavor shows tart apples, it is not sweet.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Beautiful, clear fully golden with a small, vaguely creamy head. Fresh, lightly sour apple aroma. Distinct, lightly sweet apple notes. Nice harmony between sweetness and acid. 291005

[At Københavnske Øldage 2005] An orange cider with no head - and no kidding. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of apples, while the flavor besides the sweetness and the apples has notes of wood.

$1.49 for a 12-oz single. Pale yellow, no head. Smells appley, big surprise! Kinda extract smelling. Taste is tangy boring ol’ apple juice, with some carbonation, with a skunky aftertaste.

Simple. The commercial description is accurate. Taste is on the light side. Not as sweet as many, but sugar content is still high and noticeable in the taste.

Crisp golden colour with a fast dissipating white head and tons of small bubbles rising from the bottom. Smells of strong yeast, bread, metal and a bit of apples. Light-bodied; Strong apple up front then quickly masked by metal and alcohol. Aftertaste very clean and refreshing. Overall, a nice offering that shows more of a bit than a traditional cider. Better for fans of strong beer to sample this one! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia and sampled it on 27-November-2003.
