Bottled (Beerangel, BB 09/2009). Clear ruby color, good creamy beige head. Nose has sugarness - caramel malts, chocolate and some bready maltyness. Quite sweet and chocolaty flavor with brown sugar, some toasted notes. Light alcohol in the finish, not much bitterness. This is perhaps a bit too sweet, almost cloying, but somewhat Christmasy and anyhow better than RB score 2.07 indicates.

(33cl bottle, as Sneugle Julebryg) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized foamy, slightly of-white head. Sweet and slightly papery malt aroma, also slightly perfumed with metallic hops. Light-sweet flavour, medium to light bodied, soft carbonation. Weak, papery malt-character, corny taste, strong metallic finish. This one makes me think that a “Reinheitsgebot” isn´t bad at all.
