’Versnijbier’ (blended beer) sold as Cherish Kriek outside of Europe; does show a certain lambic tartness and woodiness, but for the most part it is just as sweet and syrupy, even artificial, as the ’industrial’, sweetened fruit lambics we all know. Not my cup of tea.

Bottle @ bros house. Dark red maroon appearance with a reddish cream colored head. Amazingly fruity, slightly sour, delicious cherry aroma. Cherries and cream delicious, slightly tart flavor. Great brew. I love it.

Labeled as Cherish Kriek. Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark pink-red color with a large pink head that faded quickly but left good lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar and artificial cherry. The flavor was very tart with a strong cherry juice presence. The finish was incredibly long with tart cherry juice dominating. Light to medium body. Excellent.

Bottle. Staff recommendation to try to nudge a wine drinker a few steps closer to the beer world. Bright red, medium pink head, scant lacing. Aroma of cherries (no kidding). Taste is midway between a sweet geuze like Lindeman’s and a more traditional sour. Inoffensive, and useful for its purpose.

25 cl bottle from Five Points Liquors, Ventura. Nose of cherries with light tartness and minor yeasty notes. Hazy plum colored with a very small pink jead that laces very lightly. Flavor is fairly sweet cherries with a mild tartness. Too sweet for my taste.

8.4oz bottle Pours out a dirt dark brown with some red. Topped with a small pink head. Aroma of sweet fresh cherry. Along with a candy cherry pie filling. Tast more of the cherry and some sour. About all I can pick up is syrup.
