Barrel Aged Moonlit (Black Wax) is our Imperial Stout that rested for many moons in freshly emptied Weller Bourbon Barrels. Aged to perfection. Expect a base of deep chocolate, complemented by lush vanilla and rich wheated barrel character.

Black with a small foamy tan head. Roasty with chocolate, whiskey, anise and floral hops. Very long finish. Thick body.

50cl bottle pours with some poppy carb, plenty of fizzy head, opaque and oily black. The carbonation throws the nose off, straw and wheat, chocolate covered cherries and licorice, sour whiskey and wet wood. Flavor has a lot of port, some charcoal, cherry cordial, dried herbs, smoke, char, burnt wood. Finishes full bodied, high carb which takes away. 7 4 7 2 12
