An aggressively hopped pale lager aged on toasted cedar chips with delicate yeasty aromas providing hints of spiciness and a faint pear-like sweetness. Initial flavors of vanilla and shortbread lead into a pronounced bitterness that seems amplified by the lighter mouthfeel and body, resonating slightly before a relatively clean finish.

Sampled at EBF. Pours a clear gold with some white head. Nose is nice and hoppy, light wood, malt. Flavor is malt, toasted wood, citrus. Medium bodied, dry finish. Sort of an old style IPA.

Draft at Shorts. Hazy light-medium orange body, medium-thick cream head. Spicy, woody nose, also marijuana. Bitter, tannic cedar body, dusty, bitter, pungent wood and juicy, smoky marijuana. Huge astringent finish. Intense and cloying.
