Can @ home. Dark red orange appearance with a big, cream colored head. A bit fruity, earthy, herbal, somewhat toasty, grassy aroma. Light caramel, toasty malty, somewhat grassy, earthy flavor. Not bad but it is boring.

Clear darkish amber beer. Smooth and soft. Quite malty with soft fruit coming through fairly quickly. Not hoppy fruit but a slightly tart orange that turns sweet in the finish. Not a traditional lager and all the better for it!

Year old can: Dried grass clippings on the nose. Hazy copper, fine floaties, thin yellow head. Metallic sweet barley malt flavor. Nutty cashew finish. This was not all that bad and quite enjoyable even in its advanced age, particularly for the style. Is the tinniness from the liquid or the can? It’s probably the liquid, but I’m dying to have a fresh sample to decide. Definitely should re-rate.

[355ml can from Beers of Europe] Pours amber-brown with a thick cream head. Slight fizz, but a smooth mouthfeel. Smells malty. Taste is initially metallic, but that soon fades to leave sweet malts with the taste (but not the bitterness) of American hops - lemon and pine. A little oaky vanilla in the background develops into a sweet (but very short) honey finish. A very pleasant, easy drinking beer that tastes great - I could happily chug a few of these!

Can 35,5 cl. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma. Medium body, sweet roasted malts, toffee and caramel and dusty American aroma hops leaving a discreet bitterness. Basically like an Amber Ale. 020210

Can, that I picked up at Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove, Nr Wantage, Oxon consumed 31-12-09 Pours brown with off-white head. Soft in the mouth, a little malt shows and its got a clean but slightly metallic edge to it. Bit thin in flavour department, with hardly any hops noted. A5 A4 F5 P3 Ov11 2.8
