Bottle at the DC Beer August Share. Poured a orange juice-orange with a white head. Flavor was tropical fruits, papaya, orange liquor. Sweet, boozy. Lots of booze. Hot.

750ml bottle pours a pulpy orange with a finger of white head. Nose has huge pineapple and candy sugar and plenty of yeasty esters, Curacao orange. Flavor is pineapple and papaya and tropical orange and candy sugar. Booze too. Full bodied, fruity, boozy finish.

On tap. Pours with a hazy, light yellow body with a small white head that lasts. Aromas are grassy, malty, estery (pear and light colored fruits), some light phenols, candi sugar and orange. Flavors are dry, estery, some alcohol (nice balance, not harsh, solvent or fusel), fruit, candi sugar, champagne grapes. Light grassy and herbal hop notes. Lively bubbles, dry, champagne like. Medium bodied (seems lighter with the carbonation). Warming. Nicely done, simple, big belgian beer.
