500ml bottle bought at a gift shop in Burton-on-the Water, and shared with Gary. Good looking with its lacing rings from a decent off-white head over a clear mahogany coloured body. Inviting smell of caramel malts, mid-dry. Flavoured with caramel, bread, and dusty hops. Soft caramel-toffee like finish. Easy to drink. Pretty good. (Hotel room, Sheffield 28.04.2025).

Bottle from The Donnington Brewery, Upper Swell, Stow-on-the-Wold. Told by the guy at the brewery that this is their SBA in a bottle. Pours a clear chestnut brown with no head. Flat looking. Aromas of caramel, toasty bread and a little spice. Taste has similar notes to the aroma but with some hints of nuts, wood and cardboard. Has an odd and not very pleasant aftertaste. Light to medium body with a smooth oily mouthfeel. The beer has no condition and is overall very disappointing.
