(Gravity cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 25 Nov 2011. 1 year old) Dark brown colour with brief, foamy head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of roasted malt, caramel, citrus peel and pine needles. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, coffee, pine needles, toffee and a fairly balanced bitterness in a dry finish. More than medium body. Well balanced and highly drinkable for its strength. Very nice.
