Draft at EBF 2008. A murky bornw beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has strong notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes fo malt, caramel, alcohol, and fruits, and towards the finish notes of rubus (brombær) appears.

Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark. Clear medium amber brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, herbs, spicy - anis, wood, moderate to light heavy yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. 120908

(On tap) Very cloudy and somewhat muddy dark brown with basically no head. Very spicy and almost peppery aroma with what appears to be American aroma hops. Quite full-bodied, some roasted malt and plenty of spices and overripe fruit. Lovely - I really hope the brewery would put this experimental brew into production. 120908

My Danish festival surprise at EBF 08! Murky, dark body with an off-white head. Great smell of dark fruits with a discreet peaty note. Powerful taste of peaches, prunes and malty-covered raisin. Whisky-like undertones. Lingering dry, hop bitterness in the ending. Full bodied and great in the mouth (13.09.2008).

Hazy brown with no head. Fruity aroma with the alcohol shining through, and some wood in the background. Sweet, somewhat perfumed flavour with an odd bitterness, and again some alcohol.

Draught
Dark murky brown color, not much head. Dark malts, plums, smoke in the nose. Hoppy, juicy, rye bread, caramel malty, suprisingly light for ABV. A bit sweet. Nice lingering mandarin flavor.

Tap at EBF. Muddy brown with a off white head. Nose is vinous & roasted. Sweet & good deal of hops & dark fruits. Well balanced. Roast, caramel & alcohol. Good!

Draught No head, fully hazy brown. Wet wood cum acidity, like the rest of wine in a forgotten barrel. And alcohol, lots of alcohol fumes. The same in the taste, if less aggressive. Bit of chocolate, if not sweet. Vinous for sure. Very slick, alcholwarming; smooth and even dangerous. I must confess fearing for the worst reacting upon the name, and the nose seemed to confirm them. Yet, in the end, it rather saved itself.
