22 oz bottle shared by a friend, thanks Mike! Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of bitter roast, dark chocolate, coffee. Tastes of big bitter roast, dark chocolate. Full body with a dry finish. A bit off balance.

Sampled at the release, pours an opaque black, oily edges with some lacing beige head. Nose has what’s promised, espresso and chocolate, cakey, marzipan, some nougat. Flavor is nice, burnt coffee bean, dark chocolate, some raisin, molasses, malt, toast, some earthy soil. Finishes surprisingly dry with some coffee bitterness. Good.
