On tap @ Karoeck, Hamburg. Looks, smells and tastes like a run-of-the-mill Pils from northern Germany. Earthy, grassy, grainy, bready, metallic, bitter. Damp basement. Dry and süffig but not really great.

Pale blond color. Light arma of hay and chestnuts. Very dry mouthfeel, light hay flavor, ordinary bitterness, with a shade of hop. Not convincing.

Bottle, 4.9%. Rough aroma, lion cage, predator. Clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour has the same as the aroma with the added joy of cardboard. I wonder if this bottle has been sitting in the sun at some point.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very classical golden, German pilsener with a huge, prickling head. Fresh hoppy aroma but only a moderate bitterness. The malt dominates this. Very pleasant. 190800

A yellow beer with a nice white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw and hints of hops. The flavor is dry hoppy. Nothing wrong with this one, just boring.
