16oz can. Murky yellow. Solid beer. Standard pulp. Looks right. Smells right. Tastes right. Perhaps underwhelming but... 7 4 7 4 13

Ridiculously hazy, almost pink coloured body with a nice bronze and copper glow and a thinnish, one to two centimetre tall tan head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of grass, light citrus, flowers and a touch of earthy malts with some dryness noticeable. Medium-bodied; Fairly rich malts show at first with some resinous, and yes, 'sticky' hops with a mild sweetness from lemons and melons, but the bitterness is hidden well and the dryness and floral flavours are somehow more pungent than the hops. Aftertaste is fairly straight-forward with a floral, grassy, herbal and resinous flavour, all derived from the hops, but the dry and lightly earthy, rustic profile comes from the malts, which is strong too, and all of it shows no residual sugars or pungent bitterness. Overall, a nice enough, unfiltered, but not really New England IPA that has some nice resin flavours, the 'sticky' here, but not enough complexity or range to be considered great. Still, nice to try locally and the next short release! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 06-February-2021 for US$1,87, brewed on 16-December-2020 'I got 5 on it', sampled at my house here in Washington on 11-February-2021.
