Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and skunky with notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with skunky notes of malt, brewing cereal, and metal, leading to a dry metallic finish. The body is thin.

Clear golden coloured body with a thinnish soapy white head. Aroma of pale malt, cereal, fake sugars and very little else. Light-bodied; Strong metallic malty flavour, but a suprising lemony twang noticeable that actually makes it moderately refreshing. Aftertaste shows more of the funky cardboard malt and some alcohol. Overall, good to try, and not a horrible beer - but not much better .I sampled this 33 cL can purchased in a small shop in Beijing, PRC on 12-August-2007.

[Canned (as Yan Jing 11º Special Beer, 4%)] Pale yellow. The head died while I was focusing on putting the can down. Aroma of metal and stale fruit. Sweetish and thin. Dominated by glue and rice. Soapy finish without bitterness, instead there is a chemical burn. Yikes!
