Christmas beer made with hazelnuts.

A dark brown coloured beer with reddish tints, topped with a thick milky coffee coloured head. A strong malty aroma, with a warming nuttiness. The taste is smooth, rich and malty, then a dry, nutty flavour comes through.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel and medium notes of malt, but also a light acidity. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel combined with a light burnt edge and light notes of chocolate, leading to a dry bitter and roasted finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Almost clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Some hard roasted malt and fruit in the nose. Medium body, a little over carbonated, hard roasted malt accents and a dry, malt bitter finish. 220808

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Mahogany colour, enormous head. There’s plum and metal up front, along with a touch of madira. Grassy and light bodied. Dry with a touch of metal. Finishes with light-medium bitterness. I did not get the hazelnuts, and the clean mouthfeel makes it feel slightly thin.

Bottle, kindly shared by fonefan. An amber, almost clear beer with a minimal beige head. Caramel, roasted malt and some coffee in the aroma. Some chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and a little fruityness in the flavor, leading to a finish with coffee and coffee-like bitterness. Medium body. A quite decent beer, but there’s some citric hints in it suggesting it’s going bad. Good thing we drank it. (080822)

50 cL bottle. Pours slight unclear deep amber with a lacing off white head. Aroma is spiced and mild malty towards dry breadish, light acidic too. Flavour is mild spiced and with a blend of breadish and caramelish malt with a smooth chocolate accent and vague liqourice hops flavour. Light smoked note too. Smooth malty finish with a nice liqourice hops note.
