1/4/2019. Bottle from Real Ale Shop, Wells. Pours deep amber with a good sized off-white to beige head. Aroma of malt, toffee, citrus, dried fruit, wood and a hint of chocolate, rum and butterscotch. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Nice bittersweet, warming finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle from the Fox and Hounds Heacham. Rich Amber to Ruby colour with a light beige head. Spicy cinnamon, clove, and stewed fruit aroma taste light sweet to mid bitter. Medium body

Bottle courtesy of Bob, cheers Bob! Sunday 17th August 2014 Murky reddy/brown some light balsamic vinegar but not in an intentional way. Malty, very drab, I thought I’d had this but clearly not, still I don’t think I’d rush to have it again, not great, watery, lightly vinegary, mess not my thing at all. A5 A3 T4 P3 Ov9 2.4

Clear dark amber beer, no head. Toffee, licorice and marmalade nose. Palate i slow carbonation. Mild toffee blends in to strong licorice. Tiny bit of hop in the even finish. Different!

Bottled, Reddish amber colour, small head. Aroma is fruits, mild earth as well as some mild cardboard as well as yeastyness. Flavour is fruits, floral notes, mild bready malts as well as some slight toffeeish and mild earth.

Dark nut brown color, small off-white head. Cinnamon, clove, cardboardish nose. Light to medium bodied. Some caramel malts in the background, then quite clove spicey flavor with cardboardish

Dark coloured body with ruby highlights. Ring of bubbles at the surface. Chocolate malts throughout along with balancing hops to the finish. Food friendly to a delicious roast and ale pie. Cask, half pint, at Rutland Arms, Sheffield 2 Oct 10.

Cask på Rutland Arms, Sheffield , Sheffield 2 Okt 10. Ekstremt mørkebrun. Lavt svakt farget nitroskum. Svak aroma av plommer. Smaken sherryaktig. Tørr søtlig sherryavslutning.
