Cask @ 3 Judges. Black colour, tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, bit of smoke and tar. Well bodied. Fairly bitter. Very pleasant and well flavoured considering the low abv.
Rerate @ 3 Judges. deep roasted malts and bitter coffee, and slightly fruity. This is great stuff. +.4

Cask gravity at St Albans BF 09. Black, lasting dark beige head. Quite a buttery toffee flavoured stout. Not very stout. Some roasted malt on finish. Aroma is a bit yeasty. Odd stout really. Some toffee choc comes through later.

[Cask at GBBF 2005] An opaque red-brown beer with a very little head. The aroma is lovely roasted combined with notes of toffee and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, leading to a dry roasted end. The mouthfeel is smooth, but the body a bit thin.
