Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours an almost clear light golden colour with a medium sized foamy white head. Aromas of citrus, floral and white bread. Taste is again bready with more notes of citrus lemon and floral. Light herbal notes, peppery spice with more citrus pith on the hoppy finish. Thin to medium body, low carbonation and smooth oily mouthfeel. Very decent thirst quenching beer with good flavour for the low abv.

Cask - Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head that settled. The aroma is toasted malt and light caramel. A moderately sweet to light sweet taste, sweet pale malts, buttery and caramel flavours with a light grassy bitterness. Okay.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Slight haze. Nose - lemon and plant stalks, maybe elderflower. Taste - more of that green floral thing and there is still plenty of citrus zest going on too. Palate - light bodied, lightly creamy. Dry and lightly bitter finish. Overall - it's balanced even if it slightly lacks excitement.

Cask at Charters Bar, Peterborough. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, woody hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light watery smooth malt, woody floral hop bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Too light all round with no real defining flavours.

Cask at the Jolly Sailor, Farnham. Plae amber with a ring of white head; grassy aroma; sweet grassy taste; and a light grassy bitterness to finish. A nicely balanced, refreshing golden ale - just goes to show that citrus isn’t necessary to make a good summer beer.
