Gravity cask at Olde England, Northampton. This beer isn’t straw as per the description, but rather mid- to dark gold with a small layer of loose white head. Some papaya, mango and soft malt on the nose. Slight sour note. Full fruity sweet taste held back by a well-judged hop bitterness. More papaya at the end. Thin to medium body. Nice.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Mariners, Great Yarmouth on 8th June 2014. Golden and clear with a good white head. Fairly sweet flavours, the malts leading the way over a floral hop backing group. Some fruity notes within the blend, I enjoyed this but it didn’t send me overboard: I moved onto other brews.
