Our flagship pale ale is packed with Cascade hops that provide a wonderful citrus aroma, rounded off with a smooth biscuit base layer.

Clear golden pour with a decent white head. Aromas of (sweet) citrus, mango, malt/grain. Taste is grapefruit, malt, mango and herbs for a decent bitter finish. Nice one.

Fra fat på The Mossy Well, sammen med Stephen: klar lys gylden med fint skum som varer til bunns. En frisk og lettdrikkelig sak med deilige inntrykk av citrus, granskudd og lys malt.

Cask at the London and North Western JDW, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear yellow golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, yeasty, light woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, yeasty, earthy, herbal, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at The Four Candles (JDW), Oxford. Did what you'd want from a classic English pale. Good grippy bitter ending and some apple notes. Floral.

Cask at Bull & Stirrup, Chester. Pours golden brown with a medium sized foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and marmalade in the aroma. In the mouth the main flavours initially are traditional hops, malts and biscuit. Later it becomes more bitter with autumn fruits and traces of ginger and spices. There’s fruitiness in the finish too. This is a soid decent best bitter.

Cask at Wellington Arms, half pint shared with Finn. Bright golden body, filmy layer at the surface, clingy lacing. Ripe citrus nose, a note of lemon. Ripe fruity flavours, impacts of lemon and orange, offset by caramel malts. Expressive semi-dry bitter finish. Decent. (Bedford 18.11.2021).
