The beautiful red color, slightly pink head, and explosive raspberry aroma of this beer immediately reminded me of my fav. fruit beer, New Glarus Raspberry Tart. However, upon actually imbibing the liquid, I was a bit disappointed - the beer is quite thin, and the finish is downright watery - there is a very mild sweetness, some raspberry flavors, as well as other berries, but if I close my eyes I could probably fool myself into thinking I was drinking some kind of sparkling water beverage - a bit of lambic-like tartness up front makes you think something interesting is coming, but trust me, it isn't.

Deep red. Light bodied, sweet, vanillaish, sweetish raspberry flavour and light bitterness.

Phenomenal fruit beer. First, the raspberry flavour is so natural, so real - not like the cloyish extract many American brewers use. And the base is a blond biere de garde, and the firmness of malt flavour really backs up the fruit. This might be my all-time number one dessert beer.
