Jackman’s American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It’s noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

Medium offwhite head does not last. Hazy yellow body with floaties. (It’s old. Brewed 2007-04-18.) Firm sweet malty aroma with traces of hops. (Probably more when new.) Dry-sweet firm malty milky taste with resiny citric hops and straw. Milky chocolatey notes, with traces of tobacco. (Did I mention it was old?) Nice, but not a great beer. Wonder what it would be like new. Will rerate if I can find it again. (0.355l bottle, Beer Palace, Oslo.)

Lemon and grapefruit nose with a hint of caramel. Hazy amber color with a medium head and good lace. Grapefruit flavor with a faint malty finish. Refreshing, crisp, but simple.

draft - Pours coppery colored. The aroma is the expected caramel malt with some light hops. The flavor is moderately hopped and nicely balanced by the malts. There’s a little citrus taste. It has a light to medium body and overall is a pretty average pale ale.

Pours with a large, frothy, off-white head. Chill hazed, yellow-orange body. Floral hops and caramele in the aroma with some bready malts. Taste is mostly bitter and not too great to drink a lot of.

Hazy deep blond color. Some cereals aroma and flavor, some caramel, dryish, not very interesting.

Hazy light amber color; creamy head. Smells like the hair of a blonde Swedish girl, some malt and vanilla. Medium body structure, some malt flavor, correct bitterness, but without thrills. Atypical for an American Pale Ale.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, floral nose with orange peel and grapefruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange, grapefruit, mandarin and caramel. Nice citrussy hop character, but not really bitter, with a fairly short finish. Balanced, tasty and nice.

A little malty and yeasty in aroma. Cloudy iced tea look. Now I think I smell chocolate in the olfactory. Mild creamy carbonation. Finish is hops all the way, not as much as IPA but certainly leaves a bitter lasting finish that attacks for a few minutes.....

(355 ml bottle at The Rvoer, Göteborg) Clear amber color, lasting fluffy white head. Fresh citrusy and grassy hoppy scent. Rather distinguished bitter hoppy taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium big bitterness. Nice and very drinkable. Not a punch in the nose for once, I like it.

Pours a straight up amber color with a slightly off-white head, which lasts. Hoppy aroma with some fruitiness imbued inside. Goes down pretty easy as a well balanaced combination of just the right amount of hops and malts. Not too bitter, not too malty just right smack in the middle.
