Bottled. Deep brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is chocolate, some coffee and roasted malts. Flavour is chocolate, some coffee and roasted malts. Not as chocolateish as the other KjaerStrup Chokolade by Svaneke.

Bottle at Chris_o pre GBBF Shindig 08. Black, some ruby. Thin beige. Good bitter choc aroma. It’s an ok choccy beer, again, just lacks some body. It’s ok, I guess, decent.

Aroma a little too caramelly, but otherwise a real nice chocolate stout. Chocolate taste is well balanced, doesn’t dominate too much.

(Bottle 66 cl) Courtesy of Grovlam. Pours completely opaque black with a light brown head. Sweet aroma of milk chocolate. Medium body with lightly sweet, hard roasted malt. There’s a lightly burned, malt bitter finish. 281207

66 cL bottle, thanks to Grovlam for putting the bottle on the table and ChristianSA for a sample at the brewery. Pours dark brown with a dense light brown head. Mild malty and chocolate aroma. Flavour is solid chocolate malty, slight vague and with a decent bitterness from chocolate and hops into the finish. Nice brew, but the Svaneke version was closer to the somewhat special Kjaerstup chocolate flavour in my opinion.
