Cask at Bull & Stirrup, Chester. Pours a slightly hazy straw with a small white head. Not much of an aroma – just vague traces of malt and yeast. In the mouth this starts off quite sweet with a creamy texture, malts to the fore and hints of hops. Later some bitterness creeps in alongside some grains and lemongrass. There’s a little stickiness in the finish. This is reasonable – which is praise because I don’t normally like Beartown beers !

Cask at Black Prince, New Haw, 22/09/17. Whilst I didn't think this was great, at least it wasn't a standard golden ale. Light bitter, then a spicey sourness comes through. More of an amber colour. Creamy head. Went down well but does have the golden ale quality of being somewhat bland.

Golden color with a thick white head. Good lacing. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Floral, malty and a bit fruity flavor. Decent enough.

Cask at the Claude du Vall (JDW), Camberley. Straw with a thin cream head; grainy aroma with a touch of citrus; grainy body with a sweet grainy taste; and a floral lightly bitter finish. Rather run of the mill, but drinkable.
