The oxymoron hurts a little, but we’re out to prove (as with it’s golden sister, Colonial IPA) that the modern New World style IPAs can be made with British hops.

Rich and complex with roast malt flavours and well-integrated yet prominent hoppiness.

What’s in it
Pale Maris Otter, Munich, Carafa Special, Wheat and Crystal malts from Warminster Maltings
Admiral (UK), Goldings (UK) whole hops from Charles Faram of Malvern

Cask-conditioned at the Portcullis, Clifton, Bristol 9/5/2014. Jet black with a slight, off-white head. Dark fruits, some cakey sweetness, a hint of citrus hop and dryish finish. Good.
