Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear copper amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is quite sour with a decent amount of acid, light spice and some pumpkin underlying. Flavor has more pumpkin and spice with a growing light sour note.

On tap at Cascade. Hazy copper with a small head. Aroma and taste of spices, pumpkin, oak and rum. A "Christmas" beer.

Draft, 2014 at the barrel house. Copper amber pour with a heavy foam head. Very mild aroma of soft grain and spice. Flavor is sour berry up front, but transitions quickly to a pumpkin like flavor that?s a bit of a rough mix. Got better as i went, and some green apple notes came through. Weirs sour for me, but not bad.

750 c&c from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark translucent orange copper with a few bubbles. Aroma of veg, wood, treacle, and maybe rum. Med + body. Flavor is moderately sour, spicy, woody, a bit veg. Interesting effect this production had on rum. It’s fairly tasty, and theirs some strong flavor, but I would prefer more emphasis on the rum. Good drink tho.

Keg at the taproom in PDX, 11/11/14. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering that dissipates then retains as edgeing. Nose is tangy orange marmalade, spice, pumpkin essence, tarte green berry, light fart. Taste comprises more pumpkin notes, light acidity, tangy berry fruit, must, spice, cherry skins, figs, nutmeg, damp wood. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tangy licks and moderate puckerings in the close. Solid pumpkin sour - impressive stuff.

Bottle @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a murky brown appearance with a good sized tan head. Aroma was, not surprisingly, quite spicy with a lot of nutmeg and cinnamon. There was a cola-like presence to the nose that seemingly was the pumpkin. The pumpkin was a little more obvious in the flavor but I still got a soda-like flavor along with a shit load of cinnamon. Another case of a pretty decent aroma and a less exciting flavor.

Bottle thanks to Diego. Pours a cloudy brown with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong tart and pumpkin spice. Medium mouthfeel with brown sugar, spice, and light tartness. Hides alcohol well, very good.
