(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a fluffy beige foam. Sweet, slightly toasty and crusty malty nose with caramel and initially metallic, later herbal hops. Sweet flavour, only medium bodied, well-carbonated, smooth mf. Toast-malty, slightly bready and molassy taste with caramel; sweetish, malt-accented finish with shy traces of herbal hops (30.01.08).

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Pours a clear reddsih brown with a light brown head. Aroma of Danish rye bread and burned caramel. Very full-bodied with a fantastic malt base of roated malt and burned caramel. Short, dry finish with a subdued bitterness. A wonderful Bock. 130608

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden brown with a lacing tan head. Mild cardboard note but also a nice light toasted malt note. Flavour is medium sweet and breadish malt. Has a light spice note too. Ends without much bitterness just more of the same lingering malt.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also, very dark. Strong and malty, too much like licorice. Becomes better in the end. Okay! Thanks to pivnizub for the bottle!

Bottle, thanks pivnizub! Light caramel and roast nose. Dark claret, brown head. Sticky sugar base, fairly dry and a tad overattenuated. finishes on a bit mistletoe and is gone into the night with a jingle. With a bit more to chew on this would be a nice winter-warmer.

Bottle: Deep ruby amber coloured with a smaller - sticking to the glass - off-white head, shy sweetish-dark malty nose with a tinge of molassws and alcohol (and metallic traces); moderate sweet, slightly bitter flavour, astonishingly light bodied for a beer of 7.1%; molasses, dark malt and warming alcohol in the short bitter-sweet finish. Nothing unpleasant detectable, but all in all not so convincing............
