Bottle picked up from the brewery and consumed at Camping Karwendelcamp sat inside the camper with the rain battering down, Friday 11th July 2020. Pours dark chocolate brown with a light beige head. Malty, chewy, lacking hops, chocolate, a little toffee, this is pretty good, it's a simple uncomplicated beer.

A fizzy head disappears very quickly so it looks pretty rubbish. Light malty aroma. Taste is malt, dried fruit, caramel. Rich, sweet but not sickly and far too drinkable for 7%.

500ml bottle. Pours clear dark ruby brown with a small off white head. Aroma: burnt caramel, dried fruits, nutty, lightly floral. Taste: light to moderate sweet, roasted malts, dark fruits, wheat, bread, caramel, burnt sugar. Medium bodied, light carbonation, with a dry, bitter finish. Not bad at all

Brown color, off-white head with short to medium duration. Aroma has notes of toasted malts and light dry fruit. Flavor is mild caramelish, toasty, some burnt sugar. Slightly sweetness on palate with toasted mouthfeel.

50cl bottle. Pours clear dark reddish brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma of mild roasted malt, caramel, some dried fruits and brown sugar. Taste of strong dark malt, some chocolate, caramel, molasses, soft spicy hops, good one!

Draft at Schatten. Beautiful clear ruby amber color, beige head. Aroma of nutty burnt caramel. Taste has sweet toffee and toasted caramel. Tasty.

Erste Assoziation: Dunkler Waldhonig. Sehr süßlich-malzig. Herbes Malzbonbon. Sehr langer Nachgeschmack mit schön süßlich-röstmalzherber Note. Sehr süffig. Schon fast dickflüssig! Einfach toll!

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, pumpernickle bread, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, pumpernickle bread, and caramel, as well as light notes of metal and oxidation. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
