From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Vintage 2007. Pours a hazy dark brown with an off white head. Strong ester aromas. Flavors of caramel malt and some raisins. Pretty well mellowed out after all these years. Likely well past its peak.

Overall Impression: Out of the LongShot pack from I believe 2007? I remember enjoying this one the most of the pack. A nice blend and a powerful beer.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, metal, over ripe fruits, and caramel, leading to a dry bitter and alcoholic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

courtesy of ibrew2or3. Pours deep brown with beige head. Aroma and taste, thick grainy with notes of caramel malts and chocolate, add to the mix some dark fruits. Very enjoyable and slow sipper. Props to Sam Adams for releasing it.

Acquire via trade with grandet. Huge thanks to Tony for letting this go in trade. Pours amber with thin mocha head. The aroma is malty with the addition of molasses, ripe dark grapes and mild musty earthiness. The taste has a nice maltiness mixing with rich dark fruity esters of grapes, boysenberries and prunes. Very nice bold flavors that could easily age another couple of years. Very tasty. Into the finish I get a bit of sweet silky caramel candy to go along with the other notes.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Clear orangey brown with a beige head. Aroma of overripe fruit, burned caramel and alcohol. Quite a full body with plenty of burned caramel, overripe fruit and even some sherry accents. A little low in carbonation. The finish is dry. Very delicious. 130608
