Ale brewed with Italian spelt and honey. Deep golden color with attractive orange tints. Opalescent with a good strong foamy head.
The aroma starts off with dominant notes of raw grain, but is joined by a definite undercurrent of tangerine peel and acacia honey. Well balanced in the palate with a pleasant rustic hint.

Medium offwhite head. Hazy opaque amber body. Fruity herbal gooseberry aroma with strawy grassy mealy notes. Very fresh and harmonic. Dry-sweet strawy mealy herbal taste with fruity papery notes. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Vivid, balanced, and harmonic. Dry, with a sort of bitter edge to it, floral herbal aftertaste with dry straw and grape notes. Lovely! Delicate, subtle, and highly drinkable. (0.75l bottle, Håndverkerstuene, Oslo.)

14th December 2008. Interesting to see how this Italian beer sits much better with the Brits than the Danes. Cloudy gold beer. Made with spelt and honey. Dry crisp palate with a hint of honey sweetness and a nice tone of citrussy lemon-orange. Slightly watery weak finish but retains the dry palate.

Very short-lived white head, over hazy light-orange beer. Again, malts to the fore, slightly coloured malts and yeasty aromas. Again yeast & malts obvious. Some faint cheesy hops, and for the first of the Almond ’22 series, I can detect the honey. Pretty aromatic & herbal. Light to medium bodied, slick, "other grains"slickness. Well-balanced, nice multi-grains (malts?) beer.

I am disappointed that I carried this 4000 miles. Opaque yellow color. Lager yeast and lager aroma. Light lager flavor, with some yeast. Very little of the flavor, yeast, or spice I expect from a saison. Far too light. If they called it a Kolsch, it wouldn’t be bad at all.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of citrus fruits, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry and bitter finish. Huge thanks to yespr for sharing.
