Keg draught at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Reddish brown and clear with a bit of off-white head. Light smoke notes, red berries, sarsaparilla on the Jose. Sweet smokyvtaste with bitterness coming in to fill the gaps. Nice balance in the finish. Medium body with carbonation on the low side. A decent rauchbier for sure.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from the brewery taproom in Bermondsey. Pours rich copper-ruby with a creamy, khaki head. Light to medium sweet flavour with rich candied ham character, dry smoke, a little toasted caramel, leafy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Great balance in the finish, modest earthy-leafy hops, more campfire, ham, burnt honey and caramel accents. Excellent. This beer is rock solid.
