Hackney Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Almost clear dark amber - brown beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, some smoke and then something like horse shit, never tasted horse shit - but I imagine this could be similar!Tangy dry finish. Horrendous! Yuk!

Bottle shared in Hackney - sourced via trade. Pours clear amber with a small, creamy topping. The nose has some smokey phenols, leaves, toasted grains. Light sweet flavour with notes of meat, dried berries, leather, smoke, a little plastic. Light bodied with average carbonation. Odd mouthfeel, some tooth-coating goo. Finishes with more phenols, mild bandaid, leathery berries, leaves. So so.

Tap at the Lord Nelson, Copenhagen. Poured a clear dark amber with a thin broken white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is rich red berry fruit, yeast, light malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a sharp, crisp fruit, light aniseed, spice palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. More like a Christmas Ale than an ESB.
