Keg at the brewery tap. Pours deep brown-black with a frothy tan head. The nose holds lightly toasted malts, ripe citrus, alcohol, with ashy roast, baking cocoa, earth, baking cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with some gooey chocolate, scorched earth, ripe berries, oily citrus and pine. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming and resinous on the finish, with notes of alcohol, grapefruit, orange, gooey pine, roast. A punchy CDA. Pretty solid.
