A delicious full bodied stout that has an aftertaste that lingers. Burnt toffee and caramel flavours come to the fore from this beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Kings, Hanley Castle, Worcestershire 27/05/2011. Jet black witha slight tan head. Sweetish aroma of dark fruits and liquorice. Easy drinking, with some blackcurrant, chocolate and more liquorice before a dryish finish. Very good.

[Cask at the Belle Vue, High Wycombe] Black with a small white head. Roasted malt with lots of coffee, liquorice and earthiness comethrough. Great balance, a good mouthfeel, a top notch easy drinking stout that was unusually sessionable for the style.
