Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Kris Wines. Mild gusher. Pours deep brown with a foamy, khaki head. Light ashy roast in the nose, some dry cocoa, raisins, burnt wood. Light-medium sweet flavour with more dry, ashy character, bittersweet chocolate, woody dryness, some tobacco, leathery berries. Light bodied with lively, massaging and mouth-filling carbonation. Nicely balaned finish, dry and a little chalky, with more dark baking chocolate and ashy roast. Really good stuff overall, although the over-carb is a bit distracting. Still, solid beer.
