One of our original recipes brewed since 1997, a pale ale with copious amounts of American Cascade hops. Wonderfully aromatic floral nose balanced by a gentle bitterness with a hint of sweetness. No wonder this beer has won the most awards of all the beers in our range.

Picked up at bar 3 NWAF, handpulled cask, half shared with Finn. Nice to look at with a deep, amber-gold body, no head, shiny surface. Smooth grapefruit nose added by dried fruits. Grapefruit and fresh apricot together with nut-like malts. Rounded, half-dry bitter finish. Tasty Brit bitter (Manchester, 24.01.2013).

Drank at the Bateman’s brewery beer fest, late May 2007. Poured into a half pint sleeve glass, dispensed by gravity, it had no head, I do like to see a bit of foam, or a wisp of something when I take a beer, but this didn’t seem to matter this time. The amber liquid looked happy enough without the need for a covering. Hoppy and citrus flavours in the aroma, these carried on into the taste, some bitterness in there too. A good beer.

Cask at the ’Grape and Grain’ beer festival, Crystal Palace. Amber pour with a white head. Light malt aromas with caramel and some citrus. Quite a sweet taste. Caramel and citrus dominate the flavour. Malty, hoppy finish.

Cask @ Dolphin, Southampton. Pours a clear amber color with a samll off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.
