One of our original recipes brewed since 1997, a pale ale with copious amounts of American Cascade hops. Wonderfully aromatic floral nose balanced by a gentle bitterness with a hint of sweetness. No wonder this beer has won the most awards of all the beers in our range.

Cask@GBBF2009. Goldenish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is bready malts, mild earth, floral hops as well as some mild herbal and fruity notes. Flavour is being quite much the same with a rather dry wooden and slightly herbal finish and aftertaste.

[Handpump at Horse & Jockey, Reading] Deep amber with a small lasting white head. Fresh citrus aroma. Tasted initially malty with such an intense earthy bitterness that I feared I may struggle to drink it. Fortunately the bitterness was followed by a big citrus kick that made everything OK. Much more flavoursome and interesting than your average bitter, this is not bad at all.

Cask handpump @ The Monkโs Retreat, Reading RG1, England.Unclear light to medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, tropic fruit - mango ! moderate hoppy, citrus, buttery, notes of toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Good balanced. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. (040508)

Cask at GBBF 2006. A dark orange beer wtih a rim of beige head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of hops and peaches. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of honey, hops, and flowers leading to a dry bitter end. Nice.
