Beim Abläutern verwenden wir nur die hochwertige Vorderwürze und geben unserem Starkbier im eiskalten Lagerkeller bis zu 12 Wochen Reife. So kann unser Bock seinen starken Malzkörper am besten entfalten.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 9A - pale). Bottle 50 cl - Batch 14:53 (BBF 19.10.2019). AROMA: medium-low to low malt aroma with a sweet-rich character. APPEARANCE: gold color and translucent. medium white head with medium retention. slight lace formation. TASTE: low maltiness with a sweet impression. medium bitterness with an almost dry and slightly bitter finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. very faint alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a pale doppelbock that lacks a bit more malt strength.

Lang-Bräu Bock - Echter Doppelbock, Flasche von Keil, Bayreuth. - Dunkel goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase breite aber stumpfe Malzsüße, die an Kandiszucker erinnert, dumpfe Orangenherbe, schwache kräuterige Noten. - Antrunk breit karamelmalzig mit sirupartiger Süße, Akazienhonig. Derbe Orangenschalenbittere. Mild rezent, mastig, leicht spritig. Im Abgang plumpe Hopfenherbe mit Gras und Orangenschale. Derb bitterer, leicht ranziger Nachtrunk. - Breit malzig-süßer, derb gehopfter Bock; durchaus trinkbar aber keine Offenbarung. Wohl der Nachfolger des „Papstbiers“ Benedikt XVI, das in meiner Erinnerung aber etwas schwächer war.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Grain, bubblegum and honey all feature prominently in both the aroma and in the moderately sweet taste, which belies its strength.

0,5 l bottle. Mid golden and clear in the glass, small white head. Very low malt and honey on the nose. Taste starts malty, some caramell and honey, also alcoholic.Getting a touch of sweetness in the middle part. Something like marzipan in the aftertaste. An average Heller Bock.

pale golden colour, small and quickly disappearing white head; aroma of grains, some butter, biscuit, apple and herbal notes and alcohol; taste of malty sweetness, some spicy notes and alcohol; does not have the body for this high(?) ABV...

Heller, süß-trockener Malzantrunk. Alkoholische Nuancen, dennoch süffig und sehr harmonisch. Leider produziert der Alkohol zum Ende eine Note von Spülwasser, die entsprechend nicht sonderlich passt. Vollmundig, insgesamt gelungen. 10/11/10/8/7/11

BOTTLE 50 CL. Bright clear golden, white head. Clean malty sweetness and some bread. The taste is similar - simple but clean malts and moderate grassy bitterness. Nothing fancy, just a simple clean heller bock. Decent.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv malzig, würzig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr malzig, leicht fruchtig süß, getreidig.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Caramel malty aroma with a spicy malt touch. Taste is minimally spicy malty, some integrated bitter hop; drinkable but nothing special.
