Keg at the brewery. Black / dark brown coloured pour with a a thin light tan head. Aroma is smooth, slightly sweet, spicy berry, little malt, dried apple. Spicy. Flavour is milky roast, dried apple, malty, fruit berry. Palliate is semi sweet, highish carbonation. A little rough round the edges little sweet.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours black-brown with a think, lasting tan cream head. Light ashy roast in the nose, some burnt toast, cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with simple chocolatey malts, roast, scorched earth, raisins and other dried fruits, berries. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with some burnt brown sugar, more bitter earth, cocoa, restrained ash. Good stuff.
