Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Lab. Pours clear gold, with some disconcertingly large floaty bits, and a tight, creamy head. Odd aroma, a little over-ripe citrus, faint sweat and urea, pine. Medium sweet flavour with bready pale malts, slightly tangy citrus fruits, dry hay, pine needles, bread crust, tangerine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Very slight piney resin in the finish, more citrusy hops, pale bread, low bitterness. Kind of an awkward beer, but once you get past the aroma it’s not bad.
